Is Someone Coming to Get Me?
This was a university project in which we were to create an interactive storytelling exhibit to be displayed in an exhibition.
I created a tent into which users could climb: when they placed their hand on a small box, their heartrate controlled a slideshow of photos which were projected on the inside of the space.
The most important part of this project, for me, was the interaction. The technology was a difficult hurdle but one I eventually overcame. The programming software PureData was used along with a homemade circuit and an Arduino board to create the heartrate monitor.
