Design
I am a designer by education, but probably moreso by the fact I spent an unhealthy amount of time shuffling things a couple of pixels left, then a couple of pixels down in Photoshop, until I am happy.

Researching users, technology and design language has always been firmly distilled in me from the beginning of my degree. I have always been encouraged to explore my subjects in depth and to make use of different methodologies to achieve a richer understanding of a topic.

I read a lot and mindmapping key chapters, areas or even entire books is something my design lecturers have always encouraged me to do.

Whilst researching and writing my dissertation, I have also become immensely interested in design thinking and how it can be successfully applied to various situations. This has lead to an interest in ethonography within design and I have now found myself taking an ethnographic approach to a lot of the research I am currently doing.

I have always been asked to present my research and ideas in an aesthetically pleasing manner which has given me a solid grounding in graphic design as well as producing designs suitable for print, PDF conversion or web compatibility.

User scenarios and prototypes are always part of my design process.
