Storymaker, Storyteller (2008)
With Neil Dawson, Natalie Montgomery and Lee Murray.
This project was started in January and is still ongoing. Our brief was to create
two interactive objects to network two generations - in our case, a grandperson and their grandchild. Neil's grandad has a large selection of slides and stories and is worried that eventually no one will bother to set up the projector and thus the stories will be lost. The Storymaker is a small, handheld device into which Neil's Grandpa inserts slides and records a story. The stories are then saved and are transmitted to Neil's device; a small desktop projector. The Storyteller plays the audio recording of the story and the slides are projected onto the wall on a much smaller scale than a conventional projector. This keeps the exciting feel of the experience but allows it to be more efficient and practical.

This project was undertaken as part of Microsoft's Design Expo 08. Our course/university represented Britain in the worldwide competition. Our group were selected as the winners from our course and we fly out to Seattle in July to present our work to Microsoft.
Imago Nova (2007)
With Neil Dawson, Calum Pringle and Jen Strachan.
Our brief for this project was to create some form of online community. Users could access and interact with it online and would also have an application on a mobile platform.
Imago Nova is a project focusing on the difference in users' interpretation of the written word and conveying this in image form. We supply users with five sentences which complete a short story. These are communicated to members through three different mobile mediums: mobile phones, email and pda.
